Terms of use.

These terms apply when you use ferrulegroup.com and when we carry out an audit for you. By using the site or requesting an audit, you agree to them. “We” and “us” mean 1001776811 Ontario Inc., operating as Ferrule Group, 812 Lansdowne Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M6H 4K5. If you use the site or request an audit for a business, you agree to these terms for that business and confirm that you have the authority to do so.

Using the site

You may use the site to learn about our services and to contact us. Please do not misuse it: for example, by trying to break into it, overload it, copy it in bulk, or use it to break the law.

Information on the site

The site describes our services in general terms. It is not advice for your firm, and nothing on it promises a particular result. Advice and results depend on your situation and are covered by a written agreement with us.

Audits

We offer audits to businesses only. Sending an audit request does not create an agreement for services. An audit or project starts only once we both agree to it in writing. These terms apply to that work, and if our written agreement says something different, the written agreement wins.

Your access and your data. For an audit, you give us read-only access to systems you control, such as your analytics, ad accounts and CRM. You confirm that you are allowed to give us that access, and that doing so meets your own obligations to the people whose information those systems hold. You remain responsible for those systems and that information. If a claim arises because you gave us access you were not allowed to give, you are responsible for it and for our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

How we protect it. We use the access only for the audit, and we protect it, and any data we see, with reasonable safeguards. When we deliver the report, we stop using the access and remove it where the system lets us. You are responsible for confirming that it has been removed.

Security incidents. No system is completely secure. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss caused by unauthorized access to, or theft, loss or misuse of, your data or the access you gave us, including through an incident at one of our service providers, as long as we had reasonable safeguards in place. We will still tell you about any incident the law requires us to report.

The report. The report reflects what we could see with the access you gave us at the time of the audit. It is not legal, accounting, tax or compliance advice, and you decide what to act on.

Our content

The text, design, logo and other content on the site belong to Ferrule Group or to the people who licensed them to us. You may share links to the site, but you may not copy or reuse its content without our written permission.

Links to other sites

The site may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

No warranties

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it, and any free audit, as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, that comes from the site, an audit or these terms.
• Our total liability for all claims relating to the site or an audit is limited to CA$100 or, if more, the amount you paid us for the audit the claim relates to.

These limits do not apply to loss caused by our fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow them.

Privacy

The privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the site, an audit or these terms will be decided by the courts of Ontario.

General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of the page. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. A change does not apply to an audit already underway unless you agree to it.
