Privacy policy.
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Ferrule Group collects through ferrulegroup.com, during audits and when we write to business contacts, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. “We” and “us” mean 1001776811 Ontario Inc., operating as Ferrule Group, 812 Lansdowne Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M6H 4K5.
What we collect
What you give us. When you request an audit, we collect your first name, last name, business email, company name and, if you choose to give it, your phone number. We also record whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply.
Access you give us for an audit. To run an audit we ask for read-only access to the systems it covers, such as your website analytics, ad accounts and CRM. Those systems can hold personal information about your own clients and leads. We handle that information on your behalf and only to run the audit, and we stop using the access when we deliver the report. You remain responsible for that information.
What your browser sends. Like any website, ours receives technical information with each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies and similar tools. We and our service providers may use cookies and similar tools to run the site, understand how visitors find and use it, and measure our advertising. These tools can record the pages you view and the link or ad that brought you here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Business contacts. If we think our services could help your firm, we may email you at a business address published on your firm’s own website, and only where that page does not say you do not want such emails. We keep your name, job title, firm and email address, plus the page where we found the address and the date we saw it. We write only about matters relevant to your work, and every message says who we are and how to opt out.
How we use it
- To reply to your request, set up the audit and deliver its report.
- To talk with you about our services, when you have asked us to.
- To send marketing emails when you ticked the marketing box. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
- To email business contacts about our services, as described above.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to understand how it is used.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use service providers for things like hosting, email, customer relationship management, analytics and outreach. They process personal information on our behalf, only to provide their services to us, and we share only what each one needs.
We may also disclose personal information when the law requires or allows it, for example to comply with a court order, to protect our rights, or to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.
Our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to that country’s laws and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous. If you ask us to stop writing to you, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so that we do not write to you again.
How we protect it
We protect personal information with safeguards suited to its sensitivity, such as limiting access to the people who need it, using read-only access for audits, and choosing service providers with security safeguards. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee its security. Our terms of use set out the limits of our responsibility for security incidents.
If a breach of our safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits. Email comms@ferrulegroup.com and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If we write to you and you want us to stop, reply to the message or email the same address. We will stop within 10 business days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live in Quebec, Quebec law may give you additional rights. Contact us to ask about them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. If we want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first, unless the law allows otherwise.
